This Privacy Policy describes the treatment that ANDINA TRAVEL provides to the personal data of its clients and users, in strict compliance with Law No. 29733, the Personal Data Protection Law of Peru, and its Regulations. Data is required solely and exclusively for the correct provision of tourism services and the issuance of official tickets.
1. Principles and Purpose of Data Processing
Personal data requested by ANDINA TRAVEL is processed under the principles of legality, consent, and proportionality. The purpose is strictly linked to the management of your reservation and your comprehensive safety.
- Essential Purpose: Collection is mandatory for the acquisition of entry tickets (Machu Picchu, Inca Trail), rail services, transportation, and travel insurance. Without this information, it is technically impossible to issue documents according to the requirements of Peruvian entities (Ministry of Culture, SERNANP, among others).
- Types of Data Collected: Includes full name, nationality, date of birth, copy of passport or ID, contact information, and relevant health data (allergies or medical conditions) specific to high-mountain expeditions.
- Explicit Consent: By confirming a reservation, the traveler grants express consent for ANDINA TRAVEL to process their data for the aforementioned operational purposes.
2. Security and Information Storage
ANDINA TRAVEL adopts high-level technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access or loss.
- Security Measures: We implement encryption protocols and restricted access, limited only to personnel authorized for the execution of services.
- Retention Period: Data is kept for the time necessary to provide the service and for a maximum of five years, in accordance with Peruvian tax obligations.
- Financial Protection: ANDINA TRAVEL does not store credit or debit card information. All transactions are processed through certified and secure payment gateways.
3. Transfer and Data Recipients
We will only transfer personal data in situations mandatory for the execution of the contracted service, under the protection of Law No. 29733.
- Mandatory Transfers: Data is transferred to state entities (Ministry of Culture) and transportation companies for the issuance of official permits.
- Strategic Providers: We share essential data with guides, drivers, and hotels to personalize your itinerary, under strict confidentiality agreements.
4. Exercise of ARCO Rights
Every traveler may exercise their rights of Access, Rectification, Cancellation, and Opposition (ARCO Rights) with ANDINA TRAVEL.
- Procedure: The holder must send a formal written request to the legal email address of ANDINA TRAVEL, attaching a copy of their ID for verification.
- Deadlines: We will address your request within the timeframes established by Peruvian data protection regulations.
