At ANDINA TRAVEL, we have designed a clear and secure booking process to simplify the planning of your adventure in Machu Picchu and the Peruvian Andes. We understand that organizing an international trip requires guarantees; therefore, we offer this detailed guide, backed by our team of expert advisors in Cusco.

1. Detailed Booking Process (4 Steps)

Follow these steps to secure your spot in our personalized experiences in Peru, where safety and data verification are our priorities.

  • Step 1: Selection and Quote
    • Choose your preferred tour and tentative travel dates.
    • Submit your request via our web form, email, or WhatsApp to receive a detailed quote including services and exclusions.
  • Step 2: Submission of Documentation
    • You must send a clear and valid copy of your Passport (or ID for Peruvian citizens) and your Date of Birth to issue official nominative tickets.
    • Accuracy is fundamental, as any error in the data can lead to penalties and reissuance costs.
  • Step 3: Deposit Payment
    • To irrevocably confirm your booking, you must pay the initial deposit (generally between 30% and 50% of the total).
    • We accept secure payments via credit/debt card or bank transfer according to our Payment Policy.
  • Step 4: Confirmation and Final Balance
    • Once the deposit is received, you will receive the Official Booking Confirmation with the detailed itinerary and corresponding receipts.
    • The remaining balance must be settled according to established conditions, normally 48 hours before the tour begins.

2. Essential Identification Requirements

Peruvian regulations require that Machu Picchu tickets and trekking permits strictly match your travel document.

  • Valid Passport: Must have a minimum validity of six months from the date of entry into Peru.
  • Document Updates: If you renew your passport after booking, you must notify us immediately to manage the ticket update, which may incur an administrative fee.
  • Student Discount: It is mandatory to present a valid university ID (physical and with a visible expiration date) that complies with SUNEDU standards to apply for the reduced rate.

3. Frequently Asked Questions about Bookings

  • How far in advance should I book? For the Inca Trail or high season (May–September), we recommend 4 to 6 months. For other services, 30 days is usually sufficient.
  • Is my payment secure? Yes. We use certified gateways with SSL encryption, and ANDINA TRAVEL never stores your financial data.
  • What if I need to cancel? The possibility of changes and penalties depends on the advance notice provided, according to our Bookings, Changes, and Refunds Policy.
